Chapter 28

Leo now looks up at Alex, then over to Aeris. She is sitting over his... you know... and is blushing. Leo too blushes, looking at Aeris. He can't help but admire her, the purple shirt was a little tighter than her normal shirts, so you could see her outline very well. Aeris gets a sudden shocked look on her face, stands up, and rushes into her room without saying a word, slamming her door behind her.

"Sorry if I interrupted something going on there." Alex says. He then notices his pill sack laying next to Leo. "Hey, were you looking through my pills?"

"Um, no. It had fallen over when Aeris attacked you. I came down here to pick them up, and, um... er..." Leo says, unable to finish his sentence.

Alex just walks over and picks up the black sack.

"So did you, see anything?" Alex asks, nervous.

"Um..." Leo starts.

"Don't worry Leo, I'm not mad. I just want to know what bottles you saw." Alex says, sitting down.

"Well, we both saw your anti-depressants. Don't worry though, we understand."

"Yea, well I haven't had to take one of those for a while."

"And I saw another one. I wouldn't show Aeris it, hence she attacking me."

"Oh, so that's what you kids are calling it now?" Alex says with a little laughter.

"No, she attacked me. Tickled me to near death!"

"Oh geeze Leo. You two crack me up. Now, what was it?"

"Well..." Leo starts. He then stands up and checks for Aeris, before sitting next to Alex on the couch. "... Viagra." Leo whispers.

Alex lets out a large laugh, slapping his right knee.

"Man, is that it? You were afraid of telling Aeris I have Viagra?"

"Well, I just thought it was something kinda... private."

"Well thanks I guess, now how about the third one?"

"Um, nope. Why?"

"Just because. Now do me a favor Leo, please don't go through my things again. Ok? There is a reason I keep them hidden in this sack to begin with." Alex says, standing up.

Leo nods, and looks over at the clock. It reads 9:00.

"Man, Aeris is going to bed real early." Leo says.

"I don't think she's going to bed Leo. Maybe you should go in and talk to her." Alex says.

"Talk to her? About what?"

"Well, your 'tickle fight'. I think something else is going on with her." Alex says, grinning.

Leo starts getting nervous. Aeris told him flat out to not let Alex know about them.

"Um...yea ok I'll go and talk to her." Leo says, getting up.

Leo rushes over to Aeris's door, with Alex still watching him. Leo thinks this time, and knocks.

"Aeris, its Leo. Can I-" Leo starts.

Suddenly the door opens, and Aeris grabs Leo by the collar and drags him in, slamming the door after. Alex lets out another short laugh, and gets more comfortable. He retrieves his pill sack, and pulls out one of the bottles. He looks at it, the label is half gone, but you can see a few key words in the description. "Blood Disease".

A couple blocks from the apartment, you see a black motorcycle pull up on a street side. A tall black cat hops off the bike, placing the helmet on its seat. He removes his glasses to revile golden eyes. Dominick. He looks up at a two story building, and then walks in. It looks abandoned, for quite some time. He knocks, entering without a response at first.

"Up stairs boss!" A voice calls out.

Dominick casually walks up the stairs, and enters a small room. It has two dogs sitting at a small table playing cards. One is a dalmatian, and the other looks like a basset hound. There is also a orange tabby cat watching out a window with binoculars.

"Good work gentlemen. Now, what do we got?" Dominick asks, walking over to the orange cat.

"Well, Alex is staying at his brothers apartment, the one over there. You can see his VW." the cat says, pointing to the apartment. "He doesn't suspect a thing, we've been here for two days now. Thomas decided to take care of it, well, he didn't succeed."

"Well that was his own fault. Now, I'm going to take care of this one personally. So you three can head back." Dominick says.

"Are you sure boss?" The Basset hound asks, setting down the cards in his paws.

"I'm sure, only there is one last thing I want you to do." Dominick says.

"Whats that boss?" The orange cat asks.

"Get me a taxi cab. I got a little plan up my sleeves." Dominick says, smiling.

Back to Leo and Aeris. Leo lays flat on the floor of Aeris's room after being violently pulled in. Leo sits up, and scratches his head.

"Owch, what happened to being non-violent?" Leo asks.

Aeris extends her paw to Leo. Leo takes it, an Aeris helps Leo stand back up.

"Sorry, I just wanna talk. Does Alex suspect anything?" Aeris asks nervously.

"I don't know, maybe? Then again, he has always acted like this to us, making fun of our non-existent relationship."

"Yea, well now it does exist. We gotta be more careful, I don't want people finding out so soon."

"Whats the problem anyway? I mean, I understand the thing about if it doesn't work out, but so what if people find out?"

"I care Leo."

"Oh, so is there a problem if we are actually 'dating'? Or is it because its 'ME'?"

"No Leo, its not you. I just don't want to rush this kind of thing, that's all."

Leo goes and sits on Aeris's bed, and rubs his forehead.

"I don't think we are rushing it, but it seems you got a problem if people know about us, our feelings. Do you?"

Aeris remains quiet, rubbing her right arm with her left, looking away from Leo.

"Do you?" Leo asks again.

"Its just, what Alex said that's all." Aeris says, blushing.

"Which thing that Alex said?"

"About you and me... in bed together."

"Oh."

Leo just sits there and Aeris just stands there, quiet.

"Its alright Aeris. Don't let Alex get to you like that, I mean, that's the last thing on my mind with you." Leo says, kinda lying.

Of course Leo has thought of he and Aeris... getting it on. Its just now that dream has become a possibility. It worries Leo greatly, because he has heard countless times of sex making or breaking a relationship. Its just Leo had more than a relationship on the line, he had his best and only friend.

"Look Aeris, just don't worry about it ok? Don't let something like that get to you. If it happens it happens, and if not then not." Leo says, trying to reassure Aeris.

The problem was this did worry Aeris also. She has once or twice thought about Leo in bed, if he would be good or not. She wasn't sure if she actually wanted to do it, or just out of pure curiosity being a female cat. But with the recent things going on, she worries she may find out sooner or later. She tries to let this go, but after her and Leo's little encounter out on the living room floor, well, its going to be tough for her now. Aeris isn't sure of Leo noticed or not, but when she sat atop him and they looked at each other, blushing. Aeris could feel a little poke under her. And she was, after all, sitting atop his, "Ahem", member. She wasn't sure if she should feel flattered, or worried. Then Aeris realizes what Leo said at the end of his sentence.

"Wait, if it happens? What are you implying?" Aeris asks.

Leo can feel beads of sweat rolling down his face, unsure how to answer this question.

"Er, well I am merely saying that....um..." Leo says, still struggling to say the right thing.

Aeris places her paws on her hips, and starts tapping her left foot, growing impatient.

"Well?" Aeris asks. "I'm waiting?"

Leo feels like he's being threatened at gun point, which with Aeris it always feels like this. Leo must choose his words wisely, otherwise feel the wrath of Aeris. Leo just wishes something would interrupt them, like it does in the movies so conveniently. Suddenly, right on Que, Alex opens Aeris's door.

"Make sure you use protection!" Alex says, with a large smile on his face. "I got a spare condom in my wallet if you-!"

Aeris turns around, fuming. She slams the door right into Alex's face, cutting him off. You hear a loud thud on the floor outside her door followed by laughter and moans of pain.

"God, I thought you alone were bad, but dealing with both you and Alex is going to kill me." Aeris says, letting out a large sigh.

Aeris then walks over to her bed, and sits next to Leo.

"Do you ever get the feeling that Alex is the one edging us on, in this relationship? As if, he already knew how we are feeling for each other?" Aeris asks, looking at Leo.

Beads of sweat fall down Leo's face once more. Great, now what? Yes, Alex has been helping him, but he couldn't tell Aeris that. It would be bad for both he and Alex, well, mostly bad for himself.

"Aw, don't worry. He's just being himself. He used to do those kind of things to me at home all the time." Leo says, letting out a fake laugh.

"I just don't know. Oh, did you find out anything about his pills? That's still bugging me." Aeris asks.

"Um, no not really. He doesn't want to talk about it, and I'm not going to push it. He's had it really rough lately."

"That's true. Just tell me, that one bottle, was it for something bad?" Aeris asks, concerned.

"No no, it wasn't I can assure you. Well, if we are done here, I was thinking about letting Alex try Left 4 Dead 2."

"Oh sure, that sounds like a great idea. I'm getting tired anyway so I'm going to go to bed early." Aeris says, standing.

"Ok, let me get out of here then." Leo says, standing also.

Leo makes his way to Aeris's door and turns around. Leo then smiles.

"Good night then." Leo says.

"Night Leo." Aeris says.

As Leo opens the door, he is greeted by Alex, who seemed to be waiting for someone to exit. He had tissues shoved up his nose, and blood was apparent on them. Leo lets out a laugh.

"Truth be told, you deserved that." Leo says, exiting Aeris's room shutting the door behind him.

"I know I did, but it gets boring out here alone." Alex says in a funny tone of voice. (From the tissues being shoved up his nose, that kind of voice.)

"Well don't worry, you and me are going to play Left 4 Dead 2." Leo says, picking up his controller.
